Immunisations
Confirm those recommended
for use in your country of residence are up to date, especially those for
children.
Vaccines sometimes advised: tick-borne encephalitis.
Rabies is present but post exposure treatment should be readily available.
No vaccine certificate required.
NOTES ON THE DISEASES MENTIONED ABOVE
Tickborne encephalitis is spread by
tick bites. It is a serious infection of the brain and vaccination is advised
for those in risk areas unable to avoid tick bites such as campers, forestry
workers and ramblers.
Malaria not normally present.
